The European Bird Watching Weekend (Eurobirdwatch) is an annual event during the first weekend in October organized by “Birdlife International” with other ornithological organizations from European countries. The main goal of the event is the popularization of bird watching and research, gathering information about the autumn migration of birds at the European level, as well as education and raising awareness about the need to protect birds and their habitats.
The species that can be observed at the Ludaš and Palić lakes in autumn are, for example, the kingfisher, the white-tailed eagle, and the little cormorant.
