A project implementation meeting was organizedin the Blue Hall of City Hall for the project “Biodiversity and Water Protection Lake Palić and Lake Ludaš”. The meeting was attended by the competent representatives of KfW Bank, representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Mayor of Subotica Mr Bogdan Laban and City Manager Mrs Zagorka Panić with associates, director of PUC “Vodovod i kanalizacija” and the director of PE “Palić-Ludaš”.
During the cordial meeting, they discussed the possibilities of additional financing in order to improve the operation of the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Subotica. It was defined that the local authorities of Subotica and PUC “Vodovod i kanalizacija” shall create preconditions in the following periodin order to be able to conclude the additional grant agreement for the improvement of waste water treatment quality
The project “Biodiversity and Water Protection Lake Palić and Lake Ludaš”, for which a grant from the Government of the Republic of Germany is provided, is aiming to improve the water quality of Lake Palić and Lake Ludaš, as a precondition for creating better conditions for biodiversity conservation and creating potential for tourism development of this areas.
